Soil refers to upper unsaturated sedimulate, capable of plant growth. This soil refers to the organic age having bio-productive capacity.

Types of soil & importance for agriculture:

1Alluvial soil => azomal, shallow soil, extremely fertile, sustaining the largest variety cultivation => important crops like wheat, sugarcane, maize etc are vital.
2Black soil => volcanic lava soils with in magnetite iron, but poor in nitrogen & organic matter => known as 'regur', extremely important for cotton cultivation.
3Red and yellow soils => poor in phosphates in nitrogen, but can be used valued with fertilizers treatment eg: cashews, coconuts, dryland crops like millets etc.
