PM during COP-26 has negotiated Panchamand goals which call for net zero emission by 2070 and 50%+ of energy from renewable source by 2030.

1As per WEF, India would need $10 trillions for achieving net zero emission by 2070. Economic Cost for Coal to green energy. (2) Energy Security: As now 80%+ of oil and gas is imported, thus green energy will reduce CAD but at same time, costly to install green energy.
