Introduction
Tides are the periodic upward and downward movement of water level in water bodies due to gravitational force of celestial bodies.

Tides -> help in fishing industry, facilitate tidal energy, soil and mineral enrichment.
Process of tide formation.
Two tides per day are seen usually - Spring tide (upward) and Neap tide (downward)

-ii- Neap tide. [diagram showing moon-earth-sun at right angle, water level balanced by gravity countering each other]
Difference between tides & waves.

Conclusion
