Wars with Pakistan:

1947 Kashmir war

1955 war was one again get crashed due to claim over PoK.

Wars with China:

1962 Sino-India war

11947 Kashmir war

Post Independence, Pakistan giving support to tribal Pathan militias got infiltrated into Kashmir causing a war.

21965 war - was one again get crashed due to claim over PoK.
3Post Bangladesh Liberation war - India opposed as major role leading to see of nuclear armed development by both nations.

Sino-India war of 1962

Cause: China never accepted the Colonial frontiers i.e.- Johnson line & consider Tibet & Bhurtach to be its territory.

When Chinese got hit, influenced the Tibet, Indian &hant for the autonomy of Tibet leads to a full fledged war.

Impact -> a) Trade standoff

-> b) lack of dialogue due to aggressive policy of Mao Zedong.

However, India&its like:

a) Policy of [panchiseel]

b) Multilateral [jumicharity] like SAARC give flip to bilateral relations & hence India get support of western powers to follow an Independent foreign policy.
