Delhi Sultanate was the collection of various dynasties that ruled over India with Delhi as capital in 11-14th century. Their rule witnessed a convolution of Indo-Persian culture since the valleys were of Iranian origin. In Literature: court language used from Sanskrit to Persian sometimes Turkish. Eminent scholars like Amir Khusro, Ib-Batt Ufa, Firoz Shoh, wrote extensively about the Indian society. Razia Aqouats and Tarikh-ir Bruushkhi are examples. In art: rulers mostly refrained from court music, painting & court music (evolved into Khoyal music evolved long Ustarana). Birth of new instruments like tabla. In Architecture: use of aesthetic, brick and mortar. Arches were developed for the first time. Examples include Amir Qutub minar. Use of motifs, included Hindu motifs like Lathy, Kalesh (Urn). No human, animals but Quran Ayat's in walls.
