India has long been an inclusive civilisation and continues to be so even as a modern nation state.

Basis of India as a nation:

1. Rooted in ideal of freedom struggle: non-violence, justice, equality and liberty with fraternity.

2. Constitutional[morality]: with one sense citizenship - not as binary identities (linguistic, regional etc but national)

3. Political Representation: that is reflective of common aspirations and is inclusive and open to all irrespective of social background
