Linguistic diversity leads to translation of each others texts & expands to diverse ideas, e.g. Kandyan Ramayana in Tamil. Ethnic diversity provides availability of various cultures which promote Tourism and learning about each other's traditions. However, sometimes fringe elements try to stoke extremism resulting in riots, etc but Indian societies resilience has enough emotional infrastructure to hide over it.
