India has a rich culture in internationalization of education. India was the knowledge capital and Vishwa Guru. Scholars used to come from far off places to study in Nalanda and Taxila and Vikramshila, Odantipuri universities.

But in recent years we are seeing downturn in higher education quality (QS World Ranking) and brain drain. To avert this UGC has allowed 'internationalization of education' allow universities to set up campus in India.

Impasse on Society and fosters cultural exchange
