Role of oceanic circulation and anthropogenic causes of ocean degradation

Role of oceanic circulation change in speed/salinity & ocean bleaching.

Anthropogenic causes:

1. High GHG emissions causing climate change and warming of oceans & 40% coral threatened since 2010 (IMS)

2. High water pollution due to wastewater release in oceans

3. Unsustainable fishing disruption of oceanic ecosystem and biodiversity

4. Role of Tourism in spreading pollutant/disrupting habitat. Eg water tourism at ALN islands.

Coasts need to be protected by tackling GHG emissions through energy transition, using ocean fortification and outsourced vegetation techniques.
