What are the factors that led to the Russian revolution and what are the consequences of this revolution? Discuss its influence on the Indian national movement. (Answer in 150 words) 10 Marks

Russian Revolution (1917) was significant and historic for communism and impacted Indian movement also. Factors for it: Exploitation of workers, Harsh Inequality in the society, Presence of Ideology and leadership by Lenin. Czarist unequal policies were a enlightenment and education. This sense of equal portion generated Revolution. Consequence of Revolution: Establishment of communism, Later created some conflicts and destruction

Influence on Indian national movement: (1) Wave of communism came to India too. -> Communist party was created in 1925 (M.N. Roy) (2) Russian Revolution inspired masses that they can also challenge authority. -> Boost in demand of Home Rule. (3) Communist forces later supported British in their efforts in world war II, when Russia gained Allies. Thus Russian Revolution laid an immense impact not only on Russo but also in India.
