Statutory Position : (i) Cabinet Minister rank as per Leader of Opposition Act, 1977.

(i) Opposes & Counters Govt : to ensure limited Government & Rule of law.

(ii) Ensures Checks & Balances : to ensure legislative control on executive functioning
