Ethics over technical standards

Benefits:

May lead to loss of company revenue
May affect my job and salary due to lower payoffs to company

Option 2: No changes in the process and allowing the manufacturing

Needs:

Profits to the company
Legally the standards followed

Benefits:

Harm the community and environment (environment stewardship)
The product not really green (greenwashing)
Values of honesty, integrity not followed

Option 3: Changing the process to make the product more environment friendly

Needs:

Company reputation saved as green
Health of the community and environment ensues

Benefits:

Often be called to adopt
Reduce the profitability

I will choose the third option because:

i) Showcases the company as green without greenwashing.

ii) Ethical values demand least harm to the environment and company.

iii) The society forms important part of the company - stakeholder capitalism.

iv) Means as important as the ends (Deontological approach) followed

v) Long term sustainability of the company ensured.

The green products must be green from source to end. Nearer technologies and egg economies based on recycled material following ethical values will help in sustainable development
