Attitude biases can affect a civil servant in the following ways:

ii) Preference of one over the other.

(a) Preferring the plight of one section of society over the other.

iii) Irrational and unbiased decision making

A civil servant can overcome such bias by:

i) Controlling the emotions towards the others.

ii) Practicing meditation and yoga

iii) Improving cognitive trait of the attitude by reading books watching movies. (eg) Taslai ek prem katha.

iv) Following the code of conduct - serve as guiding light.

v) Adherence to civil service values of honesty, integrity, objectivity and selflessness.

Attitude of a civil servant guide their actions. The bias could distort them (blemishing) the values of integrity and objectivity in itself.
