Which one among the following Departments/Authorities is not under the Ministry of Home Affairs?
General KnowledgeIndian Polity and Governance
- AThe Department of States
- BThe Department of Official Language
- CThe National Authority Chemical Weapons Convention
- DThe Department of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Affairs
Explanation
The Department of States, the Department of Official Language and the Department of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Affairs are all under the Ministry of Home Affairs. The National Authority for the Chemical Weapons Convention (NACWC), which implements India's obligations under the CWC, functions under the Cabinet Secretariat — not the MHA. Hence it is the odd one out.
