Unless you work harder
EnglishCorrelating Sentences
- Ayou will succumb.
- Byou will pass.
- Cyou will fail.
- Dyou will be promoted.
Explanation
Unless means if not, so the main clause must state the negative consequence of not working harder, which is you will fail. The conditional logic demands that failing to work hard leads to failure, not success. You will pass and you will be promoted contradict the unless condition, while you will succumb is unidiomatic in this academic context. The if-not-then-fail logic confirms you will fail.
