Refraction of light, as it enters from one transparent medium to another, is due to
General KnowledgePhysics
- Achange in temperature of the media.
- Bchange in the amplitude of light.
- Cchange in speed of light.
- Dinternal property of light.
Explanation
Refraction occurs because light changes speed when it enters a medium of different optical density (v = c/n). This speed change bends the ray at the interface, as described by Snell's law. Neither a change in temperature or amplitude of the media nor any vague 'internal property' of light causes the bending - it is the change in speed.
