Explanation

The seven major tectonic plates are the Pacific, North American, South American, African, Eurasian, Indo-Australian and Antarctic plates. The Arabian plate (referred to here as the 'Saudi Arabian plate') is a minor plate. It is therefore not a major tectonic plate.
