Explanation
Robert Fortune, a Scottish botanist, was commissioned by the East India Company in 1848 to smuggle tea plants and seeds out of China, disguised as a Chinese merchant. His operation broke China's tea monopoly and enabled the tea industry in Assam and Darjeeling. Joseph Dalton Hooker, Theophrastus and Carl Linnaeus were botanists not involved in this smuggling. Hence Robert Fortune is the answer.
