Explanation

The Manusmriti recognises stridhana, wealth a woman receives as tokens of affection (from parents, relatives or her husband), as her own property. It does not grant women the right to acquire wealth through purchase, investment or inheritance in the manner stated in the other options. Hence 'token of affection' is the correct means.
