Explanation

The Narmada rises in Madhya Pradesh and flows westward through a rift valley into the Arabian Sea. The Mahanadi, Godavari and Krishna all rise in peninsular India and flow eastward into the Bay of Bengal. Among the options, only the Narmada is a west-flowing river.
