Explanation

Pune lies in the rain shadow east of the Western Ghats, Bengaluru lies in the interior rain-shadow region, and Leh lies in the rain shadow of the Himalayas, so all three are on leeward slopes. Mangaluru, by contrast, sits on the windward western coast and receives very heavy south-west monsoon rainfall directly. Hence Mangaluru is the place that does not fall on a leeward slope.
