Explanation

Realism holds that the state is the preeminent actor in an anarchic international system, that sovereignty affirms juridical authority over territory, and that survival is every state's primary objective. The idea that survival can be assured through cooperation with international organizations is liberal institutionalism — the theoretical opposite of realism. Hence D is not a component of realist theory.
