Which one of the following aerospace companies designed and manufactured ‘Falcon 9’, a reusable rocket?
current-eventssci-tech-news
- ABlue Origin
- BBoeing
- CLockheed Martin
- DSpaceX
Explanation
Falcon 9 — the world's first orbital-class reusable rocket, whose first stage routinely lands and is reflown — was designed and manufactured by SpaceX, the company founded by Elon Musk. Blue Origin (option A) builds the New Shepard and New Glenn rockets, not Falcon 9. Boeing (option B) and Lockheed Martin (option C) are partners in United Launch Alliance (Atlas/Delta/Vulcan rockets) and did not build Falcon 9. Hence option D.
