Explanation
India has installed a chain of coastal surveillance radar stations in the Maldives (10 stations commissioned around 2019–2020) to strengthen maritime domain awareness in the Indian Ocean region. This fits India's 'Security and Growth for All in the Region' (SAGAR) outreach to Indian Ocean neighbours.
