Two magnetic field lines produced by the same source
general-sciencephysics-light-electricity
- Anever intersect
- Bcan originate from same point
- Ccan terminate at same point
- Dcan intersect depending on situation
Explanation
A magnetic field line shows the direction in which a compass needle points, and at any point the field has exactly one direction. If two field lines intersected, a needle placed at the intersection would have to point in two directions at once — impossible. So field lines from the same source never intersect. They form continuous closed loops that neither originate nor terminate at a point, ruling out B, C and D.
