Explanation
Only-English-and-French = 15−5 = 10; only-English-and-German = 13−5 = 8; only-French-and-German = 12−5 = 7. German-only = 30 − (8+7+5) = 10 and French-only = 30 − (10+7+5) = 8. Out of 65 people, only-English = 65 − (10+8+8+10+7+5) = 65 − 48 = 17. Hence 17 people speak only English.
