3G and 4G are wireless technologies, which are supposedly faster, more secure and reliable. Present day 3G technology is capable of handling data around 2 Megabits per second (1.8-2.5 GHz frequency band). What speed is expected from new 4G technology?
general-scienceinformation-technology
- A10-30 Megabits per second (1-5 GHz frequency band)
- B10-100 Megabits per second (2-10 GHz frequency band)
- C100 Megabits-1, Gigabit per second (2-8 GHz frequency band)
- DMore than 10 Gigabits per second (10-20 GHz frequency band)
Explanation
4G technology was expected to deliver 100 Mbps to 1 Gbps in the 2-8 GHz band.
